I just finished making meatballs and red sauce for Sunday dinner AND I'm 3/4 of the way done with making my mom's Pineapple Pineapple cake. Considering that my cullinary skills begin and end with scrambled eggs I feel VERY accomplished. :D Now for the icing and tomorrow I'll be boiling spaghetti to go with the meatballs. Yay!

Last night I had a conversation with a friend and she's making some changes in her life that seem to me motivated by this guy that she's dating. I'm really stressing out about it.
Well maybe because I'm stressed or who knows but... does anyone else feel a sense of information overload. When my TV isn't on I'm online or listening to the radio or billboards are flashing at me or I'm on my cellphone or people are texting me... I kind of just want it all to go away. I just want to hear the sound of the crickets ... or birdies... depending on the time of day.

Tomorrow is the Session One showcase for Theater Camp! I'm pulling an all nighter because I'm obsessive compulsive about the strangest things... like soundtracks to theatrical showcases featuring 6-9 year olds.
I drove around looking for kid sized brooms for my three witches to ride on. I found three brooms with cow faces at target in the clearance section. My aunt persuaded me not to remove the cow faces.
I went through the Taco Cabana line to grab a Dr. Pepper and the lady gave it to me for free!
I will be a very happy person tomorrow night at 8pm. Then it all starts over with a new group of kids on Monday. Yay! *sigh*
I've just finished a round of Children's theater auditions. I've got to decide between the theater full of people that feel like family and the theater that pays more and seems a bit more challenging. GRR! I'm too poor to turn down jobs. :( But the schedules conflict.
I forgot that Burn Notice was on tonight. Hmm... I wonder if the second showing is on now.

Today is my last day of rest before various things require me to wake up at the crack of dawn and enrich the lives of hundreds of children through theater. ( Abracadabra Cut! )
I'm determined to do my "to do" list. GRR!
"The time has come," the Walrus said, "To talk of many things. Of Shoes and Ships and ceiling wax, of cabbages and Kings."
( I talk about two of those things under the cut. )

I watched the Golden Compass a couple of days ago. What a beautifully produced film. I don't have much criticism except that the CGI animals aren't real but... that really didn't get in the way of the story at all. I was most nervous about the warrior bears but the film really pulled it off. Lyra was fierce. I remembered instantly how much I loved her when reading the book originally. ( More under the Cut... )

I never really visit my live journal. So now that I've logged on there are all these strange messages and things. One of them was the question above. At first I thought it was just a poll but I think it's a seed idea to get you blogging. This reminds me of english class in school and journal-ing.
So... naughty books...
I read V.C. Andrews a little. Those books were naughty and VERY disturbing. My mother was more vigilant about what sort of television/movies I watched than what sort of books I read. The books sort of flew under her radar. But there were a few books I read that made me feel naughty and sneaky. The main ones that I would hide were Danielle Steel romance novels and Anne Rice books. The Danielle Steel would circulate through the class room. You knew where the dirty bits of the story were because if you sat the book on it's spine it would fall open to the sexy parts. LOL! Those two are the only books I can readily think of that made me feel naughty.
